Other Matters

The OWC LRC is designed to function as a convenient place to study or conduct research.  In addition to knowing about the normal library services that are common to most libraries, the OWC LRC has a number of conveniences that are worth that you should know about:   Need to make a photocopy?   Photocopiers are located on the first floor between the Reference Collection and the Circulation Desk.  Copies normally cost 15 cents, but you can save a nickel per copy if you first insert your Raider Card.  Guest cards can be purchased for $1 from the nearby wall-mounted Card Dispenser and Re-valuation Station.  Additional funds can be placed on cards by the Re-valuation station or from the copiers themselves (be careful about using larger denomination bills unless you really want more than $20 on your card or a pocketful of quarters)!   Where are the restrooms?   Restrooms and water fountains are available on both floors.  On the first floor, they are located directly behind the group study rooms as you enter the LRC.  On the second floor, they are located to your left as you exit the stairs, down the long corridor that leads to the Distance Learning Room.   Can't do stairs?   Use the elevator located next to the Circulation Desk!   Need assistance upstairs?   Use the Reference Phone at the top of the stairs to contact the Reference Desk.  This phone provides a direct link to the Reference Desk and cannot be used for any other purpose.   Want to use your laptop to access the Internet?   No problem, just use one of the active ports located throughout the LRC.  Just look for one of the signs indicating a port is "hot."
