Reference Services

The service orientation of a library is perhaps most evident in the quality and nature of the reference services it provides.  At OWC, our reference services are renown for friendliness and usefulness and are available whenever the LRC is open.  The Reference Desk functions as the focal point for our reference services.  The Reference Desk is located on the first floor between Current Periodicals and the Reference Collection Index Tables.  Stop by and try us out - there is no such thing as a "stupid question."

• Answer questions and provide information.
• Assist you in your search for pertinent library materials.
• Provide one-on-one instruction in the use of library resources.
• Serve as the pick-up point for all print jobs printed from LRC computers.
• Functions as the distribution center for LRC literature such as pathfinders and help aids.
• Provide assistance in submitting interlibrary loan requests.
